OCDM Releases
Submitter: detwilerBecause OCDM updates may be sporadic and of unknown frequency, releases will no longer be automated on a time-schedule. Henceforth this will be a manual process.
The process is as follows:
1. log into synapse as root
2. cd /opt/ocdm/release
3. choose a version number (if you don't know the version number of the last relesase version, use "less .ocdm_version_last")
4. at the command prompt, enter: "./release.sh 2.0.0" (without quotes, change version number to match the one chosen in previous step).
If everything went to plan, you are basically done. To be sure, check the following:
* those who are part of root@synapse should bet an email entitled "OCDM Release". This will include a log of the process you just ran.
* those who are subscribed to ocdm-announce should get a notification of a new release.
Note that the first email to root@synapse contains a reminder to update the OCDM changes document, which is located at: http://www.si.washington.edu/projects/ocdm/ocdm-change-log
