The University of Washington Structural Informatics Group (SIG) is an interdisciplinary team of computer scientists, engineers and biologists, which is part of the Department of Biological Structure and the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education, with strong ties to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

All members of this group have retired or moved on, so this site is now a partial record of research over the past thirty years. It is currently maintained by emeritus professor Jim Brinkley, longtime director of this group. There continue to be some active services on this site, which can be most easily found at http://si.washington.edu/working-services. These services currently include the Foundational Model of Anatomy (FMA), the Ontology of Craniofacial Development and Malformation (OCDM), various browsers for these ontolgies, the Digital Anatomist Interactive Atlases, and a repository of SIG publications.
